Moths On The Move!

As part of our month-long BioBlitz, we have a very cool "Moths On The Move" event on Sunday, September 20.

Did you know that moths are the night shift of the pollinator world? Join us as we peek into the nocturnal world of heterocera. This program will help you add to your iNaturalist findings for the Parks for Pollinators Bioblitz! https://www.crpr.org/bioblitz

During this nighttime event, besides checking out the cool moths we'll see, you will be able to stop and "Ask the Entomologist" about moths and butterflies, and gather and take home supplies for the Moth Mimicry craft! We also have a very fun Moth Matching Memory Game that helps you learn about PA Native moths. Lastly, moths use "eyespots" for anti-predation--keeping predators at bay! You'll be able to create your very own "eyespots" with this cool craft!

Registration is required for one of the four timeslots so that we can ensure physical distancing. Masks will be required for this event.
