Thanks for this! Such a great issue. I'll put it on my reading list :)
I wish it was as simple a solution as "education". However, as with many things, the emotional brain often refuses the science. I have a neighbor who does TNR is the neighborhood, just a few miles from our National Park (Cabrillo). It drives me insane. We now have 5 ferals in the park. I do wild life rehab and have pre-release aviaries in my yard. Despite an array of booby traps, I get neighborhood and feral cats visits every night and loose birds to midnight panics every year.
