I just wanted to say this seems an excellent system you have set up for a taxon change and I know there is little interest in Senegalia gilliesii but I was wondering if you could set up the same system for a more wider distributed neotropical "Acacia" so that people can comment on the proposed change, the species is.....
Acacia caven should be Vachellia caven

Your system of drafting a taxon change is much better than an abrupt change and will allow people to comment on the proposal

sorry for posting this here since it is actually off topic but maybe still relevant since the aim is to clean up the confusion in identifying neotropical native thorn trees all messed together right now with exotic introductions

@cstobie Thanks for the comment. I tend to not commit changes immediately if they seem like they might be controversial or, as in this case, if I know next to nothing about the taxa involved, so I don't know if they're controversial or not. Thanks for confirming that this one is probably uncontroversial.
If it's a spelling error or otherwise obvious, I'll usually commit them right away. My system is what it is because I am no expert.
I'll set up a draft swap on your request, and leave it open for a while.
