Hi:
This week, Skaggs Bridge Park in Kerman, CA is still temporarily closed. But I'm able to take pictures of conifers, grape vines, bees, some unique looking weeds or grasses, and other trees I'm not familiar yet but so curious to find out. There is also a beehive.

I wasn't able to get closer into the park. The gate was closed so I walked around to take pictures and there were still quite a bit of plants and insects to observe. I saw a lot of ant hills also.

Next week I have no definite plan where to go for observation but if I have time, I'd like to go to Cottonwood Park in Clovis, CA where there is a trail, holding pond where you can watch birds and there is also a stream.

I happen to come across this pond around Madera area with a lot of ducks. It's a nice small pond with some leafy trees around. Clean and organized. I didn't know this place existed, nice and quiet. Not as big as county parks but definitely peaceful and natural.

Pictures of ducks and leafy trees came out great. Other pictures of plants didn't turn out well.

Next week, I'll try to go south of Fresno if time and weather permits. There's also other areas to explore northeast of Fresno, that looks promising.

This week's observation is from Alviso Marina County Park. This is a nice surprise, I passed by here many times before but I never noticed this amazing place. It is at the south end of San Francisco Bay, near saltwater marshes and ponds and it's National Wildlife Refuge. I have new observations from molluscs family, snails, different kinds of birds, grasses and plants so unique I didn't know they can grow in ares with a lot of saltwater. But I found out a lot of grasses and plants grow in marshes, lots of them.

I took a lot of pictures of birds, snails, plants, grasses of course , no trees. I saw a man in a small boat trying to fish and it's a quiet place with lots of interesting living things to observe. Of course I noticed the great place to launch a boat, go through the saltwater marshes that will take you to open water up the San Francisco Bay.

Next time, weather and time permitting, I will explore more areas near south or east of Fresno County I haven't observed before.

These pictures are from Overfelt Park, San Jose and Lake Cunningham, San Jose. Lots of space and huge lake and park. Ducks are plenty and unique plants. There's also big meadows and Marina, nice place to relax and observe.

Some pictures didn't come out too well because of time restrictions but I'll definitely come back one of these days to the lake and spend more time. There's a small beach as well. I'm planning to come back there when it's warmer.
