Hello, my name is Sean Laughlin, and I am the naturalist with the Jean Michel Cousteau Ambassadors of the Environment program at the Ritz Carlton in the Maldives. I’m so excited to use my enthusiasm and passion to teach and show guests the amazing aquatic world we have here in the Maldives.

My love for ocean conservation began in my youth as I was able to grow up in Cozumel, Mexico. I went to Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida, and graduated with an Environmental science major with a biology and coastal management minor. After graduating, I explored the world, living in places like Indonesia, Madagascar, Guyana, UAE, Mexico, and even Antarctica, and now the Maldives studying and teaching people about wildlife conservation.

I have many titles such as naturalist, marine Scientist, herpetologist, environmental educator, photographer, and conservationist. My favorite thing to do for fun is photography, free diving, scuba diving, rock climbing, hiking, traveling, and exploring wildlife.
