Firstly, welcome to our new project follower; @amandabowe.

The project increased from 3159 to 3379 observations (+220), 1082 to 1140 species (+58), and 120 to 122 observers (+2). This was assisted by late entries from our BioBlitz program at Wyandot MetroPark in October and our BioBlitz at Hoffman Forest MetroPark. Our next BioBlitz is not until after Christmas, but don’t let that stop you from getting out and submitting records! We will be meeting at Eagle Point on January 8. Come join us!

Another stat that we will start tracking is the number of Research Grade observations. Of our 3379 observations, 2033 are Research Grade. This equates to 60.16%.

In total, there were 204 observations added to the project within November 2021. The observations include 56 fungi, 55 plants, 32 insects, 24 birds, 11 mollusks, 5 mammals, 4 protozoans, 3 arachnids, 2 amphibians, 1 reptile, and 1 cyanobacteria.

Of these, there were 125 species recorded. The most observed species were the Asian Lady Beetle, Isabella Tiger Moth, Wolf’s Milk, and White-tailed Deer - all observed on 3 occasions. Several species were observed on 2 occasions.

The 204 observations came from 9 different observers. Our top 5 observers for the month were @briarrose777 (78), @jenniferc3 (54), @martyndrabik (34), @mikehensley75 (21), and @llsparks (8).
